My India
How do I describe India and do it justice? Let’s start with Delhi, with its hustling and bustling streets where the car horns play a symphony, to the immeasurable impoverished, and meals that will melt your tongue. India is not everyone’s cup of tea but if you are the adventurous type, love to explore, and try new things India is one of the world’s most precious gems.
From the culturally diverse architecture, housing the world’s biggest and most beautiful mausoleum, to the many mosques and temples, this country has awe-inspiring structures. What I found particularly interesting is their love for their religion and the reverence paid to the animals deep-rooted in their history and beliefs.
The most encapsulating part of My India journey was the spice-filled cuisine. Being from The Bahamas, I am no stranger to heat, but in India count on finding 7 spices or more in the average dish. There’s also no need to be afraid to try this flavorful cuisine for fear of too much heat, you can ask the chef to dial the heat up or down based on your preference.
If you want to feel fully transported to another realm far, far away from your day-to-day surroundings and find a place that will assault all your senses in the best imaginable way, then I urge you to visit India!
